By Kathy Thomson The Albany Chamber of Commerce will hold a “Home of the Hereford” sign celebration and recognition party on Friday, Aug. 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aztec Theater. The party is for all Chamber members and prospective Chamber members, according to manager Mary Beth Jones.

Brawner Reed, age 82 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating.

Kelsy Baker, age 26 of Meridian, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family. Funeral services were Friday, July 26, at the Clifton Church of Christ in Clifton, Texas. Pastor Steve Countryman officiated.
