LucasShackelford County residents, as did the rest of the state, had plenty of warning before this week’s winter storm moved through the area, and for the most part, there were fewer problems than during the 2021 “deep freeze” that occurred at almost exactly the same time of the year.

Larry (Hondo) Hudson, age 73 of Grandfalls, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at First Baptist Church in Moran with Rev. Luke Spraberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Moran Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
