Silverada takes the stage Feb. 15

Albany Live continues its concert series with a performance by Silverada at the Aztec Theater on Feb. 15, bringing a night of high-energy country music to Albany. Formerly known as Mike and the Moonpies, the Austin-based band has made a name for itself with a blend of traditional honky-tonk, rock & roll energy, and modern country storytelling.

Led by Mike Harmeier, Silverada has spent years refining its sound, moving from long sets in Texas dancehalls to national and international stages, including Abbey Road Studios and the Grand Ole Opry. Their latest album, Silverada, marks a new era for the band, featuring a mix of hard-driving anthems, steel guitar-driven country ballads, and expansive rock influences.

“We spent the first part of our career figuring out who we are and what we’re good at,” Harmeier said. “Now we want to evolve not only the sound of the band, but the dynamic of the live show, too.”

The Feb. 15 show is expected to showcase songs from their latest album, along with fan favorites from their previous records. Known for their engaging live performances, Silverada blends tight musicianship with a raw, road-worn energy that has made them a favorite in Texas music circles.

Silverada’s performance is part of Albany Live’s 2025 concert series, which continues with the Bellamy Brothers on March 22, Neal McCoy on April 5, and Dale Watson and His Lone Stars on June 7. The series has brought a variety of artists to Albany, drawing strong crowds to the historic Aztec Theater.

Tickets for the Feb. 15 show are on sale now, and fans are encouraged to get them early.
