ROY KEITH “PETE” MAULDIN

Roy Keith “Pete” Mauldin, age 83, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14 in the Albany Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Haynie officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Roy Keith Mauldin was born on Feb. 28, 1936 in Albany, Texas to parents, Roy R. Mauldin and Minnie Matthews Mauldin. He was raised in Albany and later attended Tarleton State University. 

Roy worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football and was an honorary football captain for the Howard Payne University football team. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Mauldin; two brothers, Glen Mauldin and Gene Mauldin; one son, Gene Howard Maul-din; and one granddaughter, Alicia Nicole Cooper.

Mr. Mauldin is survived by three children, Cindy Jones and husband Albert of Round Rock, Melissa Haynie and husband Mitch of Abilene, Roy Mauldin, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Sara Foxworthy, Matthew Haynie, Anthony Mauldin; and two great grandchildren, Jeffrey Plumlee and Tre Foxworthy.
