04/13/1936–12/04/2024 Cora Edith (Caldwell) Bean was born on Apr. 13, 1936, to the late Ellen and ConnerCaldwellinWayne, Oklahoma, the youngest of their seven children. She passed away from life to her eternal rest on the night of Dec. 4, 2024, in Ballinger, Texas.
She graduated from high school in Norman, Oklahoma and attended bothOklahomaUniversity and South Plains College. She met her husband, JerryWylieBean,andthey married on Jan. 6, 1960.
Together they raised three children, who are surviving; David Bean andCynthia,ofSeagraves, Texas; Michael Bean and his wife, Pam, of Albany, Texas; Terry Bean and his wife, Shelly, of Ballinger, Texas.
Edith was a dedicated homemaker and mother and was a supportive business partner to Jerry throughout their married life. She loved to laugh and enjoyed it even more when she could make others laugh.
Edithspentmanyyears working in the church serving in several capacities as Sunday school teacher, director, Vacation Bible School teacher and director. She taught hundreds of children how to memorize the New Testament of the Bible throughsong.Shewasalso an entrepreneur with her burnointment,“HisPlan” thatshedevelopedin1996.
She is survived in life by her sons, seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Shawn Michael Bean, and all her brothers and sisters.
Viewing will be on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. at Ratliff Funeral Home in Brownfield, Texas. Services will be on the same dayat2:00p.m.atCalvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. PD
