Albany Athletic Booster Club rolls out plans for 2025–2026
With a new school year and athletic season just around the corner, the Albany Athletic Booster Club is launching several initiatives to build support for student-athletes and coaches.
For the first time, fans can officially become members of the Booster Club, with multiple membership levels ranging from $25 to $500. Each level offers increasing benefits like recognition in the football program, booster yard signs, decals, flags, and even T-shirts. All memberships and sponsorships apply to the 2025–2026 school year and are now available at albanyathleticboosterclub.com.
The Booster Club will host a kickoff meeting on Monday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. at The Feed Store, where parents and community members can learn more about volunteer opportunities, sign up for team support roles, and hear what’s ahead for Albany athletics this year. Representatives from all sports will be on hand to help get the year started on the right foot.
A few days later, the annual Ice Cream Supper returns on Monday, August 11, and promises to be one of the biggest community events of the summer. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Bank Park, followed by athlete introductions at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, wear their red and white, and show their Lion pride as the athletes and coaches of the 2025–2026 season are introduced.
Meals will be available for $10 and include a hamburger, sides, and ice cream for dessert.
The Spirit Shop will be open after the event at Robert Nail Memorial Stadium. Organizers noted that volunteers are still needed to assist with serving and setup and encouraged community members to get involved.
In addition to the supper, the Booster Club is now taking pre-orders for new Albany Lions gear, including a wide selection of shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise. The items are available to browse and order through the club’s Spirit Shop online.
