Don’t sweat the small stuff.

We have all heard that quote, probably more than you can remember.

I bought the book by that title, and every once in awhile, I pick it up just to remind myself...the reality is that 99 percent of our worries and panic about some things never happen.

What a waste of energy. Here are some good ideas, just to ease the stress.

This one I always go back to...ask yourself this question...“Will this matter a year from now?’’ (Probably not.)

Here’s another one which I sometimes laugh out loud at...“Stop exchanging horror stories.” When you’re with a friend, don’t be talking solely about your doctor visit, your aches and pains, or your medications. Try to lift one another up with some laughter. You do realize that old fashioned laughter is the best thing that you can do for your body?

Once a month I play Bunko with a great group of ladies. You may be able to hear our laughter for blocks (We are LOUD!!!) It’s great to have friends who definitely have a sense of humor.

We have about two hours of nonstop laughter, and when it’s over, we don’t care who won. It’s just about having fun. You ought to try it.
