By Sandy Morris The March distribution pickup dates for the commodity food program will be Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5. Certified eligible families in Moran should pick up their monthly commodity food at the Moran City Hall between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4.

Max Balliew earned the honor of being on Tarleton’s Scholastic Honors Dean’s List in the Fall 2020 semester.  This distinction is the University’s way of honoring and celebrating academic achievements from the spring semester.

Albany High School graduate Maggy Karl has earned the honor of being placed on Tarleton State University’s Scholastic Honors College of Business Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. Karl is attending TSU online and is classified as a sophomore.

By Sandy Morris The Albany United Methodist Church has announced its upcoming Ash Wednesday service.  The service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17.  First Methodist pastor Tim Trimble said the service will be delivered via livestream from Seedbed.

By Lynsi Musselman The Feed Store served the first junior and senior Tuesday lunch of the new school year this Tuesday, Aug. 25. Feed Store executive director Tisha Wilkins said 45 students were served this week. “We had a decent turnout, but I think more will come next week,” Wilkins said.
