ROBERT LATIMER

Robert Dale Latimer, 42, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at his home in Bedford, TX. 

A memorial service for all friends and family of Robert is planned for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, TX. A graveside burial service for Robert’s family will be scheduled later. The cause of death is currently undetermined.

DOLORES BARNETT

Dolores Geneva Michalk Barnett, 86, of Albany and formerly of Bishop, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019. She was born on May 30, 1932, in Bishop, to Alvin and Ernie Michalk. 

Dolores married Melvin Urban on Aug. 21, 1949, and together they had three children; daughters Brenda Urban Picquet and Debbie Urban Prince, and son Larry Urban. 

After Melvin’s death in 1962, she married James H. (Bill) Barnett on Feb. 18, 1966. They were happily married for 29 years before he passed away in 1995. 

Jack Tabor

Jack Franklin Tabor, age 45, passed from this life on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 in Cisco, TX. He was born on Oct. 17, 1973 in Eastland, TX to David Lloyd Carroll, Jr. and Nancy Kay (Wagley) Lancaster. He was a self-employed Diesel Mechanic.

Jack was a one-of-a-kind. He was loving, kind and would give the shirt off his back to help some in need. He was a dedicated friend, son, father, brother, uncle and “G-Pa” as his grandkids would call him. 

JOE MAX WALKER

Joe Max Walker of Albany, Texas, born in Wink, TX on April 3, 1936 was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Dec. 30, 2018.  

Joe Max Walker graduated from Kermit High School in 1955.  He married the love of his life Mary Ellouise (Medcalf) the day after her high school graduation, May 25, 1957.  

Joe Max was established in many trades including oil and gas, heating and cooling, home building and repair, owner and operator of a successful concrete company and even a licensed private and instrument rated pilot.  

Patsy Braddy

Patsy Lynn “Peacock” Braddy, passed gracefully on Dec. 18, with her loving husband, Gerald, at her bedside.

Patsy was born Nov. 18, 1945 to Benjamin Franklin Peacock and Clara Mae “Trammell” Peacock in Breckenridge, TX. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers; Billy Briscoe, Johnny Briscoe, Dean Peacock, George Peacock, and one sister Margaret Reagor.

Jim Martin

Jim Martin, age 48 of Midland, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018. A graveside service was held Saturday, Dec. 22 in the Albany Cemetery with Chuck Sheppard officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

James Lynn Martin was born Nov. 11, 1970 to Jackie Martin and Patricia Rogers Martin in Abilene, Texas. 

He attended school in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. After graduation, Jim attended Western Texas College in Snyder for two years. 

Gene Merrell

Gene Franklin Merrell, age 71, passed away of natural causes at home on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018. 

He was born on June 27, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Levi Eugene and Frieda Merrell. He was a graduate of Richland High School and continued on to Cisco Junior College with a full baseball and football scholarship. 

He married Bobbie Lee Gore on Jan. 27, 1970 and had three children – Melissa, Nicole, and Jeff.

Jane Foster Mitchell

Jane Foster Mitchell passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 in Temple, Texas.

She was born May 23, 1941 in Bell, California to Thomas and Fay Ola (Klaus) Foster. She graduated from Albany High School in 1959.

She worked at various jobs in Albany, including positions with Charles Hemphill, Jim Cotter, Bob Snyder, Bill Morrell, and the Albany Post Office. She also worked at post offices in Killeen and Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

She had recently retired from the post office Horseshoe Bay after working there for many years.

KAREN CLEMENT

Lucy Karen Clement passed away suddenly Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas. She was 77 years old.

Karen was born in Albany, Texas to J.T. “Tom” and Dovie “ Dub” Garrett Feb. 16, 1941. She married Jack Clement on Sept. 4, 1959 in Albany, Texas.

No matter where she went, Karen never met a stranger. She loved meeting new people and working with the public. She worked as a hair stylist for almost 30 years before hanging up her scissors to pursue other interests that provided her even more opportunities to interact with the public.

MARGIE DAVIS

Margie Driskill Davis, 89, joined her Heavenly Father at 9:45 p.m., on Nov. 10, 2018, in Glen Rose, Texas. Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life of 89 years, Nov. 13, 2018, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
