Albany’s fifth and sixth grade youth basketball teams open their fourweek season Saturday, Jan. 6, with boys teams playing at Jim Ned and girls at Eula.

Albany Lions and Lady Lions athletes received postseason accolades for football and volleyball over the Christmas break from a variety of media outlets. Volleyball Albany’s Kiana Roberson and Abi Hale were recognized with inclusion on the All-Big Country Prepsvolleyballteam.Both received honorable mention after helping the Lady Lions reach the area round of the playoffs.
