DORIS HUDSON

Doris Hudson, age 90 of Moran, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. 

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11 at the First Baptist Church of Moran with Rev. Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment followed in the Moran Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Doris Marie Kidd was born Feb. 2, 1929 in Coleman, Texas to parents, Alton Boyd Kidd and Fleeta Olive Sikes Kidd. She graduated from Coleman High School in 1947. 

RENEE KAN

Renee Anna Kan, age 41 of Midland, passed away Feb. 8, 2019 in Midland, Texas. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Gunsight Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Interment followed in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

Renee Anna Townson was born on Dec. 30, 1977 in Lubbock, Texas. When she was two, her family moved to Breckenridge where she attended school and graduated with honors from Breckenridge High School in 1996. 

BARNEY TABOR

Barney Tabor, age 77, passed away Feb. 5, 2019 at Eastland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 9 at First Baptist Church of Moran with Pastor Jerry Shields officiating. Interment followed in the Moran Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

Barney was born in Gorman, Texas on June 10, 1941 to Boyd and Ruel Rice Tabor. He was raised in Moran, Texas and graduated from Moran High School in 1959. 

Barney served in the Army National Guard for six years. He married Karla (Nena) Bickley on July 1, 1966. 

MARY ELLEN WILKINSON

Mary Ellen Wilkinson, 96, passed away on Feb. 4, 2019  in Wichita Falls, Texas.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 11, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Falls, Texas, with Pastor Bobby Gonzales officiating.   Burial followed at Moran Cemetery, Moran, Texas.  

Mrs. Wilkinson was born on Apr. 16, 1922, in Moran, Texas. She was retired from Food Service at Wichita Falls State Hospital.

GLENN KEY

Wortham Glenn Key, 80, of Albany, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at Lyndale Senior Living in Abilene, Texas. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Anthony Ceder officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

He was the fifth of seven children born to Delmon Wortham and Letha Bell Key. He was born on Oct. 13, 1938 in Throckmorton, Texas. 

Following graduation from Throckmorton High School, Glenn worked in the oil field and farmed. 

ANN JONES

Ann McArron Jones, 83, passed away in her home in Albany, Texas, on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. A funeral service was held on Sunday, Feb. 3, at the First Christian Church in Albany under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde, with Pastor Brad McBee officiating.

THOMAS LEE (TOM) HART

Thomas Lee (Tom) Hart, age 62, of Clyde, TX, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019. Tom was born in National City, CA on Aug. 30, 1956 to Tom and Mona Hart. Growing up, he loved rock climbing, all sports, and fast cars.

After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. He loved the time he served and the people he met. His most memorable deployment was to Bitburg, Germany for three years. He was proud to be a veteran and continued his service by being a member of the Patriot Guard.

BETTY RILEY

Betty Riley, age 88 of Albany, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at her residence. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 15 at the Church of Christ in Albany with Sonny McCauley officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

Betty Jo Knight was born May 23, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to parents, Claude Knight and Dollie Harrell Knight.  She married Ben Jackson Riley on June 6, 1947 in Albany at the Methodist Church.

JIMMY (JIM) IVY

Jimmy D. “Jim” Ivy was born July 1, 1934 to Luther and Flora Ivy in Memphis, Texas, and passed from this life on Jan. 9, 2019 in Hobbs, NM. 

He was the third of four children. Jimmy graduated from Seminole High School and later attended Western New Mexico University on a football scholarship. 

He was preceded in death in death by his parents; first wife, Billy June Ivy; siblings: John Ivy, Bobby Ivy, Mary Jo (Jerry) Baker and her husband E.B. Baker; son, Terry Ivy and grandson, Aaron “Brit” Arther.

JIM SANDERS

James (Jim) Lee Sanders II, 76, of Budapest. Hungary, was born on Jan. 17, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. Jim was headed home when he died in Frankfurt, Germany on Dec. 23, 2018, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, to whom he dedicated the last 40 years of his life.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church where Jim was baptized as an infant and was a member as  a youth. The Rev. Anthony Ceder will be officiating the service and burial will be in the Albany Cemetery, directed by Morehart Mortuary.
