By Sandy Morris The Albany City pool will open to the general public on Tuesday, June 1,  with a one-day-only, free-admittance, Splash Day.  Albany City pool co-managers this summer are Jennifer Bowman and Dakota Fowler, who have both previously run the facility.

After a lapse of more than a year, Moran’s monthly country and western musical will resume this month on Saturday, May 22 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Moran Community Center. Moran singer-songwriter M.L. “Marty” Clifford is again coordinating the event, which was first held in the spring of 2019.

Billie Glenn died Sunday, May 16, 2021. Graveside services are tentatively set June 12 at Albany Ceme­tery. More details will be available later.

Judge George P. Kazen, respected jurist, outstanding contributor to the community, loving father, grandfather, and friend died on April 27, 2021. He died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. Judge Kazen was the grandchild of Lebanese immigrants.

Jeanette Holson, age 99 of Albany, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20 in the Albany Cemetery with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
