By Sandy Morris Local 4-H member Johnnie Hise took part in the state 4-H Fashion Show on Tuesday, June 8 in College Station.  Hise placed first on April 30 in San Angelo in her division which advanced her to the state contest.

By Sandy Morris Moran’s monthly country and western musical will continue this month on Saturday, June 26 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Moran Community Center. Moran singer-songwriter M.L. “Marty” Clifford is coordinating the event, which was first held in the spring of 2019.

Glenda Clarice Banister, 79, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.  Glenda was born on June 29, 1941, in Hillsboro, Texas to Horace and Annie Bell Johnston. She grew up in Albany, Texas and was a member of the graduating class of Albany High School in 1959.

Blake Ryan Hamilton, age 18 of Denver City, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19 at Gunsight Baptist Church with Patrick Frishe and Sonny McCauley officiating.

By Sandy Morris After opening its doors informally a few weeks ago, the Senior Citizens Activity Center will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11. The event is open to the public and will  honor the late Rodney Alexander and his family.
