Albany Nativity planned this year

Rehearsals for the “Albany Nativity” will start during the first week of November, withperformances scheduledforDec.13and14 at the Aztec Theater. Tickets are free to the public but will not be available until December at the Albany Chamber of Commerce office.

Band earns ‘excellent’ rating at UIL contest

The Albany Ragin’ Red Band brought home a Division II rating from the UIL Marching contest held Monday in Abilene. The band earned Division II ratings from each of three judges, marking the first time in five years that the group has received a Division II “excellent” rating rather than a Division I “superior” mark.
