Grease Worms raise funds for camp

A team of three Albany residents will be on the road again to Luckenbach and a host of other European Texas destinations this week as they have a little fun and at the same time raise money for Buffalo Gap’s Camp Able, a mission to cultivate healthy, independent living for peope with special needs through skillsbased training and equine therapy. Along with two dozen or more other teams, the Albany group will start out on their 48-hour Buffalo RunAdventure about 6:00 p.m.

Action delayed Tuesday by trustees

TheAlbany school board met in special session on Tuesday eveningtoconsiderSuperintendent Jonathan Scott’s contract, along with possible action items that included “accept resignations and hire personnel.” Following about three hours in closed session, the board recessed the meeting until 2:00 p.m.onWednesdaypendingthe receipt of legal documents from the district’s attorney. No action was taken on any agenda items prior to recessing the meeting, but there was an indication that there would be action taken once the meeting reconvened on Wednesday.
